2015/16 Access to Education
Fund.
Individual establishments may
only be named on one application.
Successful applicants will receive
notification of funding by
end September 2015.

To arrive no later than 5pm on 19 June 2015

Level of grants:
Eligibility:
Funding awards will be around £5,000 per school. When applying as
a cluster/group of schools each school may be allocated £5,000 (for
example, if a group of 4 schools apply, they may bid for £20,000).
Applications are invited from Local Authority schools, clusters and
groups of schools across Scotland.
Early Learning and Childcare settings, and independent schools are
not eligible to apply.

Failure to meet the deadline may render your application invalid.

You should assume we have no knowledge of previous funding you have received.

Applications to sustain existing Access to Education Fund projects must clarify the need for
further funding and must have relevant, up-to-date data for the proposed development.

Incomplete sections will affect the overall score of your application.

Supporting documentation is not required.

Please ensure you retain a copy of your application form for your own records.

Directors of Education for each authority have identified a link Representative for the fund. For
details of who your link is, and their contact details, please see our website.
You should inform them about your application and share with them your planned proposal to
ensure it is in line with authority outcomes and procedures. They will have the responsibility for
accepting and arranging for your Director of Education to sign the grant letter if you are successful.
The funding will be transferred to your local authority and then downloaded to your school.
