Graduate Program Director and Contact Staff Information Save the Date for Spring 2016 Graduate Student Welcome and Orientation Activities A variety of welcome and orientation activities are scheduled for new and current graduate students throughout the week prior to the start of the spring semester (January 11-15). The Graduate School appreciates the help of graduate programs with distributing this information to graduate students. Small Research Grant Program for Graduate Students in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences The Graduate School is very pleased to announce the second year of funding for the Small Grant Program to support research expenses for Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences Masters and PhD students in their final year of graduate study. The application deadline is December 7, 2015. Graduate Student Opportunities Mastering the Interview and Job Talk The final fall GSC professional development event, "Mastering the Interview and Job Talk," will be November 10 12-1 pm and will include two breakout sessions: one focused on industry jobs and the other focused on academic jobs. Guest speakers will discuss how to plan for and execute an effective interview and/or job talk. International Education Week - November 13-20, 2015 International Education Week provides an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and to learn more about global cultures. Grad Bash Breakfast - December 10, 9-10:30 am If you are graduating in December, join fellow graduates for a free 'Grad Breakfast' at the K-State Alumni Association. K-State Graduate Research, Arts, and Discovery (GRAD) Forum abstract submission deadline Abstract submission for the K-State GRAD Forum (previously known as the KState Research Forum) will open soon. Registration and abstracts must be submitted by December 18, 11:59 pm CST. Late submissions WILL NOT be accepted. The K-State Grad Forum will be held on March 30, 2016. ETDR walk-in workshops Oct. 22-Nov. 20 The IT Help Desk has scheduled ETDR walk-in workshop times over the next five weeks to provide faster help on Electronic Theses, Dissertations and Reports before the Graduate School's November 20 semester deadline.
