Intelligent Video Surveillance based on JPEG standards
Mrs. Virginie Carniel received her degree in Management and Master in Statistics, from
Neuchâtel University in 1993 and 1994 respectively. Expert in company creation and
reorganization, she participated actively in building process of Emitall Surveillance and she is now
working as CEO of the company. With 10 years of experience in new businesses implementation
and international development, she has been mainly active in telecommunication and electronic
media industry. As Head of Marketing & Communication, she led the development of international
activities of swissinfo/SRI (business unit of SSR SRG idée Suisse) and managed the reorganization
of the Marketing Department. She participated to Carrier1 (Pan-European telecommunication
operator) turnaround process, as director of Strategic Planning, and worked as Sales & Marketing
director of Carrier1 France. Inside the Department of Corporate Strategy of Swisscom , she had the
opportunity to participate to the Swiss telecommunication market deregulation and to the
privatization process of Swisscom. She was in charge of business planning and coached “Data &
Multimedia” and “Broadcasting” business units. She took part as well of Swisscom and Carrier1
IPOs.
