The Modern Languages paper has five main headings:
• Introduction
• Significant aspects of learning in modern languages
• What do breadth, challenge and application look like in modern languages?
• Planning for progression through breadth, challenge and application in modern languages
• Additional specific advice related to assessment in Modern

• The number of significant aspects of learning varies from paper to paper.
• Although breadth, challenge and application apply to all curriculum areas the advice on each will be specific to the curriculum area.
• The advice on planning for progression will be particular to that curriculum area.
• There will be additional information in the papers that relate to responsibilities of all.
