Warwick Bursaries

Awards of up to £3,000pa are available to help with course-related costs.

To qualify for an award, you must fulfil the following criteria:

Be a home student enrolled on your first, full-time (inc. 2+2) undergraduate course at

Warwick which is starting in October 2016

Have a family income as assessed by Student Finance England at below £35,001

Be in receipt of a Tuition Fee Loan and a Maintenance Loan from Student Finance

England

Not be entitled to any other statutory support in the form of a grant or fee waiver for your course

For your sixth form education have been educated at a state school or college in England or received a full fee paying means-tested bursary at an Independent School in England or a partial means tested bursary based on an annual family income below £25,001 a year

*Additional bursaries are targeted at students most in need. The University will pay additional support of £1,000pa to students who meet one or more of the following criteria:

Students who are Care Leavers or who are from a Foyer background

Mature students aged 21 or over at the start of their undergraduate course in 2016-17

Students in receipt of a Parents’ Learning Allowance, Childcare Grant or Adult

Dependants’ Grant from the UK Government as part of their student support package

Students classed as independent students for student support purposes

Students in receipt of Disabled Students’ Allowance, Personal Independence Payment

(PIP) or Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

How do I apply?

How will I be paid?

Warwick Bursaries will be paid directly into the same bank account that your student

loan and grants are paid into so there is no need to notify us of your bank details. You will receive an instalment each term of about a third of the yearly total. Your confirmation letter will let you know the amounts and payment dates.
