Courses in bold are recommended gateway courses for each IC concentration – students are
recommended to take at least one gateway course, as available. The concentration course lists below
are not meant to serve as exhaustive lists of all the possible courses. Students are encouraged to take
additional courses, including those offered outside of SIS, that fit with their concentration. Students also
have the option to create a self-designed concentration with the support of student’s faculty advisor or
program director. Listed courses are not guaranteed to be offered every semester. Please consult your
program director, faculty advisor, or academic advisor if you have questions about your concentration.
