**Economics Requirement
Strong knowledge of macro- and micro-economic principles is a requirement of the MAIR program. Students who have
not completed sufficient prior economics coursework (at undergraduate level or above) at the time of admission will be
required to complete and pass the prerequisite SISG-773 Economics Theory (3 credit hours) before being permitted to
register in the required SISG-764 International Economics course (3 credit hours). Successful completion of an Economics
Placement Exam can waive SISG-773 Introduction to Economic Theory, reducing overall program credits to 36. Please
consult your advisor for more information.
Foreign Language Requirement
All students in the MAIR program are required to demonstrate intermediate reading proficiency in a language other than
