NEW Part-Time Advising Assistant Position Open
The SIS Graduate Advising office is hiring a part-time Advising Assistant
immediately. This position is 27 hours/week and is open to current AU graduate
students. A one year commitment is preferred. The Advising Assistant contributes to
the daily operations of the Graduate Advising office and is responsible for a number
of data entry, collection and analysis tasks/projects. The position also is responsible
for significant student outreach and communications, including web administration. Incumbents should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and be
highly attentive to detail. For more information and to apply:

Students registered for second summer session courses starting this week should
make themselves aware of the summer Add/Drop dates, including the deadline
to drop a course with a 100% refund and the last day to withdraw with a 'W'. Please
be aware the Add/Drop period is generally shorter for summer courses.
OVERDUE Apply to Graduate for Summer 2015
Students planning to complete all degree requirements in the Summer 2015 semester
must apply to graduate via their myAU portal (under Academics – Apply to
Graduate). Applications for summer 2015 were due June 1, so if you have not do so
already, please apply for graduation ASAP. Students should receive a graduation
eligibility confirmation email from the Graduate Advising office (to their AU email
address)confirming all remaining requirements after their advisor has reviewed their
graduation eligibility. Additional Methods Courses - Program Evaluation and International
Policy Analysis- added for Fall 2015
Two additional methodology courses have been added to the fall 2015 Schedule of
Classes: a second section of International Policy Analysis (SIS-750-002; in addition
to SIS-750-001 Int'l Policy Analysis) and a second section of Program
Evaluation (SIS-750-003; in addition to SIS-635-002 Program Design, Monitoring
and Evaluation). These courses are available for registration now via your myAU
Portal. For a list of approved methods courses by MA program, please visit the SIS
Graduate Advising website.
Summer and Fall 2015 Skills Institutes

Now Scheduling Advising Appointments ONLINE
All graduate advising appointments will now be booked online at:
https://sisgraduateadvising.youcanbook.me/ The SIS Graduate Advising office is currently scheduling 30 minute student
appointments. Unlike Express Advising, appointments allow for more in-depth
advising conversations, including longer-term course/degree planning. Appointments
are available in-person or via phone or Skype. If you have any questions about
