SIMULATION OF BRANCH PROCESSES CHEQUE PROCESSING
As a self learning kit, we have created a simulation for one of the important and
frequently used branch process i.e. Processing of a Cheque for Cash Payment –theoretically
as well as in the system. The simulation has been created keeping in view the following
goals to be achieved:
1. Self learning – Describes in detail the theory i.e. various provisions under NI Act
affecting cheque processing, features and workflow of a cheque for processing in
Finacle system for cash payment from operator and officer angle.
2. Do Yourself – After learning theory, user is able to carry out physical scrutiny of
the cheques and then process the same in Finacle system. In the end, a quiz is
presented to reinforce his learning about physical attributes of a cheque.
3. Test Yourself – Learner to deal with live branch situation for cheque processing He
must use his learning to correctly process the cheques of 10 customers.
After going through these modules, both type of learners – Officers and Clerks will be
able to handle processing of a Cheque for Cash Payment at branches without committing
any errors.
