All students are asked to keep a 3-ring binder for storing course
materials. Materials for other courses may be kept in another
part of the same large notebook. The math notebook should have
tabbed dividers to separate it into the following four sections:
1.
2.
3.
4.

The contents of each section are described below.

guidelines, extra notebook and graph paper, etc.

Each day, during the first five minutes of class, put the
date of the warm-up in the outside margin (the margin
without holes in it), and then write the original problem
and answer it. Box or highlight all answers. Leave 1 or 2
blank lines between warm-ups.
Classwork/Class Notes - classwork and class notes in date order
(starting w/September)

etc.
At the beginning of February, all warm-ups and homework from the
first semester may be taken out of the notebook and stored safely
at home. These should be saved for future reference and as study
aids for the final exam. Class notes stay in the notebook
throughout the entire school year.
