In preparing for a smooth beginning to another great school year, it is important that you accurately and fully
complete the registration process at LQHS. The materials included in this packet are very important and we ask
that you read and understand what is included and complete the appropriate items with parent and student
signatures. Each year we streamline and perfect our online registration process and we encourage you to continue
to stay connected to LQHS through the Parent Portal.
Our first day of school is Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Please pay special attention to the NEW BELL
SCHEDULE that is on the following page. In order to facilitate weekly collaboration time for our
teachers to work together in planning instruction, 1st period will begin at 8:27 am EVERY Wednesday. In
addition, “0” period will not occur on Wednesdays but will begin at 6:45 am the other four days of the
week.
Please remember that parents are always welcome at La Quinta High School and we need your support, interest,
and input. It is our hope that by working together, we can make our school the perfect place for a quality
education.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORMS/LOCKS
All PE students are required to wear our uniform
which consists of royal blue shorts and La Quinta grey
T- shirt. Sweats can be worn over P.E. clothes in cold
weather only. Each PE locker must have a lock,
which must be purchased at La Quinta. Uniforms and
locks will be available to purchase at registration.
