WILSON PHILLIPS
Saturday, September 12, 2015 • 7:30 p.m.
F
our-time Grammy® Award-nominated, “Bridesmaids” scenestealers Wilson Phillips take the Orr stage with their band,
performing songs from their new release Dedicated, which
features covers of The Beach Boys and The Mamas and the Papas
including “California Dreamin’,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” and “In My
Room.” The group’s members are, of course, children of members from
both bands – Wendy and Carnie Wilson are the daughters of Beach
Boys mastermind Brian Wilson, and Chynna Phillips is the child of
the Mamas and the Papas’ John and Michelle Phillips. Wilson Phillips
reinvent these hits from the ’60s and ’70s and perform their own
greatest hits including “Release Me,” “You’re in Love,” and, of course,
“Hold On.”

“America’s Sweethearts of Song”
Saturday, October 10, 2015 • 7:30 p.m.
I
n 1955 four very young girls walked on to a stage in Hollywood,
California, and sang their way into America’s hearts. Their
Christmas Eve television appearance on “The Lawrence Welk Show”
was the beginning of a career that would see them sing for seven
Presidents, perform with nearly every major star in Hollywood, and be
welcomed into millions of homes across America every Saturday night.
The girls were awarded their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,
and they were inducted into the National Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
They will bring their gift of music to the Orr stage, for a performance
filled with their unmistakable harmonies, video highlights of their
fabulous career (which will surely bring back warm memories), and
stories that will bring some laughs. Their show shares the glamour,
style and unique family blend that propelled them to fame with
millions of fans. Their instant stardom has lasted over 55 years.

LITTLE

BAND
Monday, November 16, 2015 • 7:30 p.m.
A
s one of the most significant music groups to ever emerge
from Australia, LRB took the world by storm with their
easy-sounding music and rock power ballads that would go
on to sell more than 30 million albums and top music charts around
the world. They set a record for having Top 10 hits for six consecutive
years — the first band to achieve that mark. “Reminiscing” was
recognized by BMI as one of the most frequently played songs in
the history of American radio. Their ’70s and ’80s chart success in
America includes “Happy Anniversary,” “Reminiscing,” “Lady,” “Cool
Change,” “Lonesome Loser,” and “The Night Owls.” The current
lineup brings new energy and arrangements to the classic hits. It’s
always fun to watch as people are swept up by the show’s vitality
and the number of hits from LRB’s history. You’ll see plenty of people
mouthing the words ”I love this song...I forgot it was one of Little
River Band’s hits!”

The Concert Presentation

A moving, genuine & nostalgic connection with
the music of CAROLE KING and JAMES TAYLOR
T
wo long time friends and collaborators, hit songwriter Kirsti
Manna and national recording artist Jonathan Birchfield
capture the essence of friendship through music with their
dynamic performances. With stylistic comparisons to Carole King
and James Taylor, audiences enjoy Kirsti’s unique artistry on piano and
vocals with Jonathan’s velvet toned vocals and guitar. The duo takes
their audiences back with favorites like “How Sweet It Is,” “Carolina in
My Mind,” “I Feel the Earth Move,” and, of course, the incomparable
“You’ve Got a Friend.” Kirsti and Jonathan have shared the stage with
such artists as Brooks and Dunn, Ray Charles, Jimmy Buffett, Tim
McGraw and Faith Hill and have appeared on the Grand Ole Opry.
Now they are sharing the stage not only with each other but with the
songs of their musical mentors. This concert presentation includes a
24–piece orchestra.
