Restructure Discussion – 7:30 pm Dean Shaw+ Honor and Conduct Board Chairs: Where should the Honor and Conduct Board Chair go? Is it a conflict of interest for these positions to be housed in the SGA? Conduct Board Chair and Vice Chair spend a lot of time on SGA matters but because of confidentiality this student cannot participate fully and cannot provide insight from their board If policy is partially under the jurisdiction of the Student Life Committee, it is unethical for Conduct Board Chair and Vice Chair to sit on that committee as ‘executors’ of these policies If these two chairs are moved, they can still be contacted by the SGA as a separate body of student organization Should we put it into the bylaws of all three organizations that chairs are required to meet with SGA regularly? Chair of Honor Board and Conduct Board can be moved to their own separate body of SGA that regularly liaises with SGA VP Parliamentarian will write up proposal and Senate will vote on this at our next meeting. They are trying to move from essentially heating up meals to providing meals with more natural and possibly local ingredients Thinking about bring some sort of yelplike app so that students can rate meals and provide constant feedback to dining halls. In addition, they will be redesigning their website Acox@smith.edu Andy can send meeting updates to senate and would love to work with Senate to reach students directly Area Meetings – 8:50 pm
