2015-2016 Advanced Standing Articulations
AP (Advanced Placement) Equivalencies (valid for Academic Year 2015-2016)
•
All listed AP exams meeting the minimum score requirement or higher are eligible for advanced
credit.
•
Score reports must be received directly from the College Board for advanced credit to be awarded.
Please check with the College Board to make certain that all AP examination results you received
appear on your record prior to requesting them to be sent.
•
In order to receive elective credit for a non-English Language AP exam, students must receive a
score of 5. To receive credit in the language of instruction, students must take a placement exam
and validate language proficiency by placing in the next sequential course. Students who score a 5
on the AP exam but do not place into the next course in the language sequence, will retain elective
credit. For more information on language placement exams, please consult the following website:
http://www.american.edu/cas/wlc/placement.cfm and if you have further questions please contact
