9 Lessons We Can Learn
from our istakes
5 Easy Steps to
Time Management
We all mess up. It happens.
Don’t sweat it! Instead, what have we learned?
1. Write down how you’re currently
spending your time. Be thorough and
honest! Include eating, sleeping, studying, reading,
time on social media, playing online games, sports,
rehearsals, watching TV, etc.
2. Create a priority list that includes
everything you need to do, including any

social commitments.
3. Enter your to-do list items in your
calendar planner, estimating and
blocking out a time slot for each. Enter

all your high-priority items first.
4. Make adjustments in your planner
based on current time-management
habits. Do you think best first thing in the
morning? Do you need extra time for certain
projects? Is your brain done after 9p.m. or are
you best at night?
5. Do, review, and repeat daily.

Mistakes teach us to clarify what we really want
and how we want to live.
Mistakes teach us to accept ourselves and that we
can be flawed and be loved. People who love and
care about us will stick with us through all our flaws
and floundering.
Mistakes teach us to accept our fallibility and face
our fear. People, resources, and solutions will
appear, especially when we ask for help.
Mistakes teach us about ourselves and how to tell
our truth. Being honest about our limitations offer
us opportunities to practice telling the truth.
Mistakes teach us, through analysis and feedback,
about what works, and what doesn't. Many times
we can trace mistakes to recurring patterns of belief
or behavior that haven’t served us in the past.
Mistakes teach us to take responsibility. It is more
empowering to look for our role in the mistake.
Mistakes teach us about integrity.
Mistakes teach us to engage in our lives -- to live
fully. We can use them as evidence that we ar e
growing, risking, and stretching to meet our potential.
Mistakes allow us to inspire others.
