AMENDED EXECUTIVE ORDER
WHEREAS, I, Dolph Briscoe, Governor of the State of Texas, pursuant to the authority vested in me under the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, and particularly by Sections 5(b) and 5(c), House
Bill 2032, Acts 64th Leg., R.S., 1975, Ch. 289, p. 731, the Texas Disaster Act of 1975, issued Executive Oider D.B. 23, designating, among other things, the Chief Executive Officer of certain State agencies, boards, and commissions~ and representatives of certain organized groups, to serve as members of the Disaster Emergency Services Council and among such State agencies, boards, commissions and organized groups
Rescue. Training School; and
WHEREAS, House Bill 2164, Acts 64th Leg., R.S., 1975, Ch. 323, p. 832, created the Texas Department of Health Resources to replace the
Department of Health in the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 762, Acts 64th Leg., R.S., 1975, Ch. 679,

p •. 2064, created the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation to replace the Highway Department in the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Rescue Training School is a part or branch of the Texas Engineering Extension Service and, in order to fUlly utilize services available to aid in the event of disaster, the said Texas
Rescue Training School should be replaced on the Disaster Emergency
Services Council by the Texas Engineerin~ Extension 'Service:
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Dolph Briscoe, do hereby amend Executive Order
.B. 23 by deleting from the Disaster Emergency Services Council the iDepartment of Health, the Highway Department, and the Texas Rescue t
ITraining School, and adding to said Council the Texas Department of
Health Resources, the State Department of Highways and Public Trans-
and the Texas Engineering Extension Service.

All other provisions contained in n.B.
23 shall remain in full force and effect until changed, amended or repealed.
This Amended Executive Order n.B.
23A is effective on this
16th day of December
1975.
