Point Materials: Deck of Point dot cards and deck of Point tile cards Objective: To be the first player to get rid of all of your cards How to Play: 1. Players decide who will be the dealer and who will go first. The dealer deals all of the blue dot cards to the players so that each player has the same number of cards. Any cards left over are set aside and are not used for play. The dealer shuffles the yellow tile cards and places them in a pile face down. 2. Players take turns turning the top yellow tile card face up. 3. All players make one combination of blue dot cards that add up to the number of yellow bars on the yellow tile card. For example, if the yellow tile card shows 11 dots, a player can use a 6-dot card and a 5-dot card (6 + 5 = 11) or a player can use a 5-dot card, a 5-dot card, and a 1-dot card (5 + 5 + 1 = 11), or a player can show a 5-dot card, a 4-dot card, and a 2-dot card (5+4+2=11). 4. Players prove their combination adds up to the number of bars on the yellow tile card to the other players before placing their combination on a discard pile. 5. The game ends when one player runs out of blue dot cards. This player is the winner. © 2011 CEESTEM- Regents’ Center for Early Developmental Education, university of Northern Iowa (319)273-2101
