About HEVC 08
Following the success of HEVC 06, this event is your
opportunity to shape the future of Hybrid and Ecofriendly vehicles. The key objective of the event is to
raise awareness and stimulate debate on Hybrid and
Eco-friendly vehicles, and through a combination of
presentations and workshops, formulate future strategy.
Government, industry and academia must act together
to develop a cohesive, long-term future strategy that
effectively reduces vehicle emissions, and this is your
chance to influence the debate.
Conference Themes
Papers are invited within the general area of Hybrid,
Electric and Eco-friendly Vehicles. The event will be
broad-ranging, and contributions on technology, strategy
or policy are equally welcome. Successful authors,
determined by peer review, will be invited to present.
Exhibition
Significant exhibition space will be available in the
Warwick Digital Laboratory to display products, services
and research & development activities.

Venue
The conference will be held at the University of Warwick,
Coventry, UK. The event will take place in the International Manufacturing Centre and the brand new Warwick
Digital Laboratory, a £50 million flagship development
within the University.

Abstract
Authors wishing to present a paper are asked to submit
an extended abstract of no more than 3 pages. This
abstract must be in English and should clearly reflect the
contents of the final paper. In addition, a 100 word
executive summary is required which will be published
with the event timetable. Abstracts should be submitted
electronically in PDF format, and full details are available
on the HEVC 08 website.

Workshops
Workshops offer the opportunity to debate key issues
currently facing the industry. Potential workshops may
include:
How will eco-friendly vehicles address the three pillars
of sustainability - financial, social and environmental?

Will technological improvements ever make a significant difference to vehicle emissions ?

Gala Dinner
To enable further networking in an informal atmosphere,
a Gala Dinner will be held on 8 December at nearby
Warwick Castle. Join us for a night of Medieval splendour
within this magnificent venue.
