The Course Director advised the participants to maintain the decorum and protocol while interacting with all the target groups (workers, community, ERs), keeping in mind the objective of the TOT. After that all the groups rushed to complete their assigned tasks with the facilitators since records and documents were provided by GP in the afternoon only. The participants got late to start their exercise as the documents were not complete and Panchayat Sahayak and other gram Panchayat functionaries were busy in completing the records etc. All the groups undertook an intensive exercise to collect the data in the gram panchayat Nanawa, visited households, pasted gram sabha notices, had discussions with the community and workers about the MNREGS and works, recorded their statements, invited villagers to attend the gram sabha meeting, visited work sites, did physical verification of ongoing/ completed works, Verified the registers, job cards, verified entries of muster rolls, passbooks, statements of the workers etc. The onus of the whole exercise was on successful organization of gram sabha meeting so it was reminded to the community mobilization group to put their best for motivating the people for participating in the gram sabha meeting in a large number. 23
