Instructions for Preparing an Abstract for the EMI2011

To attain some degree of uniformity please follow these guidelines.
1) Place a header as shown here indicating the EMI conference of 2011
2) Margins are 1in in all directions.
3) Preferred font is type New Roman
4) Sizes = 14 pts for the title, 12 pt for the names, affiliations and email (affiliations and emails in italic) and 10 pts
for the text.
5) Leave as much blank space between the email line and the first line of text as shown here.
6) Abstract may contain references and graphics if desired but should not be more than 1 page in length.
7) Please submit your abstract as a Microsoft word file.
8) When you upload the file, please make sure that the file name is “(presenter lastname)_(presenter
firstname)_(first five words of paper title, separating with underline)_Abstract_(version no., starting from 0). doc”
For example: If the Author’s last name is Cao, first name is Yinghong, and the Paper title is “Health Monitoring of
Cable Stayed Bridges” with an initial submission, the file name should be like “Cao_Yinghong_
Health_Monitoring_of_Cable_Stayed_Abstract_V0.
