Arms Licence issued by Nagaland Government Sir, I am directed to enclose a copy of Govt. of India’s Office Order No. V-11026/23/2005-Arms dated 8th April, 2011 issued by the Joint Secretary to the Govt. of India Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi on the subject cited above which may also be seen on Home Department website. The Nagaland State Govt. had granted licenses to the various individuals during the period from 1983 to 2007. Out of these licences about 352 licences issued for PB arms have been detected without authority of law. In view of this, the GOI, Ministry of Home Affairs under section (9) and (10) of Section 17 of Arms Act, 1959(54 of 1959) revoked these licenses vide order referred to above. You are, requested to take note of this order and as and when you happen to come across any of these licences for renewal kindly cancel the same at once under intimation to this department.
