Dr. Warrington also served as major advisor to master's and PhD students.
Dr. Warrington has served on both the undergraduate and graduate departmental curriculum
committees, during which time he initiated several changes in the curriculum (e.g., changed the
method for teaching senior laboratories from a set experiment format to projects and initiated a
project, referred to as the "supervised peer instructional method", designed to improve the
mechanical engineering students' communication skills). His research interests included,
MHD, solar energy, Large scale turbulent natural convection, Direct contact heat exchangers,
Numerical techniques for the solution of linear and nonlinear sets of equations resulting from
Finite Difference and FEM techniques, Natural convection in enclosures Dr. Warrington has
also served on numerous college and university committees at MSU and worked for several
years with the ASME student section on high school student recruitment.
