As you are aware that MID DAY MEAL SCHEME is being implemented in all the Government / Government Aided Primary & Upper Primary schools in the State . The regularity in preparation of meal and quality of meal provided to the students is invoking concern of various quarter . The monitoring of the Scheme is critical. The third party inspection of schools can be importation tool for effective implementation , proper monitoring and supervision of the Scheme. The worthy Chief Secretary in the meeting of State level Steering-cumMonitoring Committee(SLMC) of Mid Day Meal held on 2.5.2011, desired that monitoring / inspection of the scheme is required to be carried out regularly. It has been decided that Urban Local Bodies will monitor the implementation of MDMS in its jurisdiction.. The Director, Elementary Education will design / prepare the performa in this regard. The performa for inspection / monitoring of the MDM Scheme has been prepared and enclosed herewith with the request that same may kindly be circulated to all Urban Local Bodies of your area. The inspecting authority may be requested to send the copy of monitoring / inspection report to this directorate so that appropriate action can be taken their suggestion .
