MYTH TV
• Works rather like Sky +
• Over 600 channels available
• Site password protected. You need to go to
Language Centre to set one up
• Web site with booking system: one off and
regular recording
• Recordings are raw Mpeg files so need to be
stored somewhere. Upload to Kaltura
EDITING RECORDINGS
• Go to ITS delivered applications:

• Choose FreeMake: simple software for editing
and cutting video (if you want to select one item
from the news, for example)
• Kaltura also allows you to direct students to a
certain moment within a film (say, 30 minutes
in…)
ERA PLUS LICENCE AND OTHER
LICENCES
• Covers copyright for everything transmitted
through Kaltura as long as viewed in the UK.
• Can be used for IPlayer resources that go out
of date (audio and visual)
• Back copies of IPlayer video / audio can also
be obtained from Audio Visual Services

• Upload video
• Upload film (Paul in TRC keen to do more of
this)
• Upload screen capture facility
• Upload video assignment (students to record
self or upload their own recordings)
