INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES Write your name, Centre number, candidate number and question number, in that order, in the top righthand corner of the front surface of the paper. A small area in this corner should be kept clear for this purpose. Answer one of the options given overleaf. INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES Except where the question asks for a particular medium to be used, a wide variety of media and techniques is acceptable. Drawing instruments and tracing paper are allowed. Show in colour how your design would appear on a TV screen or company vehicle. 5 Using an appropriate calligraphic script with which you are familiar, design a menu card using all of the following text: WESTSIDE RESTAURANT STARTERS RICE SALAD AUBERGINE ROLLS MAIN COURSE BAKED SHELLFISH CHARGRILLED VEGETABLES IN SPICY SAUCE DESSERT TROPICAL FRUIT IN HONEY SAUCE Include any additional wording and/or decoration you feel appropriate. 6 Design the opened out plan of a cardboard container, including graphics, for a household electrical item of your choice such as a hairdryer, electric drill or iron. There is no limit on the number of colours to be used. Permission to reproduce items where third-party owned material protected by copyright is included has been sought and cleared where possible.
