PROPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS
Part A: (separate pages)
The proposal must be single-spaced, 12-point font, 1-inch margins.
Summaries of Project Request:
1. Provide brief budget justification on the budget page of this application form (p. 2). If
your budget requires more explanation, you may attach one additional page. You might
discuss:
a. Research assistant duties
b. Any unusual supply requests
c. Travel description and purpose (research only)
d. Course release time (was it approved by your chair and dean?)
2. A professional summary (200 word maximum) describing the project in the language of
your discipline. Include a statement of the research objective(s) and/or hypotheses and
discuss the significance of the project to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
3. A detailed description of your project (1,000 word maximum) consisting of a work plan
including discussion of research methodology and expected time line. Also, include
expected research products (scholarly meeting presentations, articles, exhibitions, etc.),
including plans to present results to the external scholarly community as well as plans to
seek additional external funding, when appropriate.
4. On one extra sheet of paper, explain why you must travel internationally to complete this
work (500 words)and list what presentations of your work will occur while abroad and the
funding opportunities to which you will apply.

NOTES TO APPLICANTS
Electronic documents must be submitted by the deadline to
daniel.riechers@tamucc.edu. The proposal will not be considered if received
after the deadline – no exceptions. A confirmation will be emailed to the faculty
member confirming receipt of the proposal.
Applicants agree to acknowledge in all publications (books, bulletins, professional
journals, news releases, etc.) resulting from this project that the study was supported
by a Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi International Research Travel Grant.
"This project was supported by an International Research Travel Grant from the
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Division of Research, Commercialization
and Outreach."
A copy of all published material resulting from this research effort shall be forwarded
to the Division of Research, Commercialization and Outreach.
