Below are the most FAQs about TCRF/RE proposals. Please contact us regarding these or any other questions you may have.
Questions:
Are TCRF funds only for the sciences
Answer:
NO. TCRF funds are available for all tenure and tenure track faculty
and research scientists.

Program Development Funding
Routing sheets are required ONLY for these proposals. This is
an INTERNAL TAMUCC routing sheet. They should not be
sent to anyone off-campus, not even to Co-PI’s.
Yes. TCRF is a state-funded program and ALL state rules MUST be
followed.
Yes. Details must be submitted as requested on the
guidelines/application document.
No. Indirect costs do not need to be included.
Yes. All cost sharing as stated in the TCRF proposal MUST receive
prior approval from the department chair and college dean.
No. Fringe benefits should not be added to your TCRF proposal
budget detail.
The PI salary restriction is the same as National Science Foundation
grants (NSF is used as a guideline – ALL disciplines can apply).
Yes, but not if the Co-PI is from another institution.
Yes, but only for graduate students working on research directly
associated with the TCRF proposal. Please refer to the
guidelines/application document for specific details.
Yes, but only if the travel is integral to the TCRF-funded research.
