UCL INSTITUTE OF CHILD HEALTH
Accommodation Information
Most of London is divided up into zones ranging from 1-6 with Zone 6 being the
furthest away from Central London. The UCL Institute of Child Health is based in
Central London and is in Zone 1 as is the Wolfson Centre (ICH building used for
teaching). The nearest tube station to them both is Russell Square. Other nearby
tube/train stations include Euston, Kings Cross, Tottenham Court Road and
Goodge Street on the Northern line.
As a rough guide, postcodes in and around Central London often begin with the
following: WC1, WC2, EC1, EC2, NW1, NW2, NW3, N1, SE1.
Accommodation in London can be quite expensive and there is a great demand on
the housing in and around the central London area particularly where UCL and the
other London Universities are based.
Please see below a list of accommodation sources. This list is not exhaustive and
you are required to be proactive in your search. Please note that you are also
responsible for checking the authenticity of each accommodation organisation
before making a booking. It is imperative that you verify the authenticity/suitability
of any housing before sending money for a deposit. Where possible ask a trusted
friend or relative to visit the property prior to any payments.
