Teledyne space-qualified switches:
40 years of proven performance
Teledyne Relays offers a
comprehensive selection of
highly reliable, competitively
priced electromechanical
switches to meet your
requirements. With more than 40
years of technical experience,
we are able to assure the design,
development and manufacture of
quality products.
Teledyne’ electromechanical
switch product line consists of a
variety of switches designed for
commercial, defense and space
applications.
Our space-qualified product line
consists of coaxial switches,
waveguide switches, switch
matrices and blocks. These
products are typically customdesigned and manufactured
according to specific
performance requirements.
Teledyne also provides a
complete line of standard, offthe-shelf high-rel switches that
offer our customers significant
cost savings, while satisfying
most typical requirements
for scientific, meteorological
and communication satellite
applications.
Through numerous challenges
over the past 40 years, Teledyne
has developed and established
a complete line of spacequalified switches for high-power
applications in L, S, C, Ku and
Ka bands. Teledyne was the
sole source supplier for the Sband space-qualified switches
and switch matrices used in the
Space Shuttle’s and TDRSS’ hotswitching applications. The same
design for the hot-switching
capability can be extended to
other frequency ranges.
Our modern laboratories are fully
equipped for the development
and production of space qualified
coaxial switches. Teledyne
has the capacity to support
several large switch production
programs.
Other applicable equipment and
facilities include:
• Class 100 laminar flow work
stations
• Numerically controlled milling
machines
• X-ray equipment
• Latest RF test equipment,
including network analyzers
and ultra-wide band sweep test
sets covering frequencies from
10 MHz to 50 GHz
• Sine and random vibration table
and controller
• Thermal vacuum chamber
tailored for multiple testing
for coaxial and waveguide
switches
• High-power and multipaction
RF test stations
