In response the government has provided money through the research councils to support the development of training opportunities for early career researchers in all subjects. Focus: Development,Transferable skills & Career Development Research Council Joint Skills Statement Development opportunities funded via `Roberts money’ need to promote development in one or more of the five areas outlined in sections C-G of the Research Councils’ Joint Skills Statement (2001). • • • • • The five areas, C-G are : Research Management Personal Effectiveness Communication Skills Networking and Team Working Career Management University of Warwick Roberts funding for Researchers • Individual Funding Individuals can apply for funding up to a maximum of £750. No deadline for applications, applications will be considered throughout the year • Departmental Funding Departments can apply for funding for Research Staff.
