Using the ‘Sketch Spline’ tool to make a keyring
Before using these instructions, it is very helpful to watch this video screencast of the CAD drawing actually being done in the software.

The circle for the hole for the metal keyring
should be 2mm from the edge and the hole
should be 5mm diameter – so 2.5mm radius.
Draw a guideline line 4.5mm long (2mm +
2.5mm) to show where to start the centre of
the circle for the hole.
Use Sketch Polyline to draw
size guidelines – e.g. 45mm
high and 55mm wide.

Use Sketch Spline to draw the keyring shape.
Extra design ideas?

1. You could use the Text Tool to add initials,
names or other wording. You can either
extrude it to get raised lettering or
negative extrude to make indented or cutout lettering.
2. Sketch a shape on the top face of the
keyring and positive or negative extrude it.
Use Sketch trim to delete spare lines
by 4mm to make the 3D keyring.
Use MoExtrude dify Fillet to round the edge.
Use Modify Chamfer to taper the edge of the hole.
3. Use another shape to either snap to the
top of the keyring to decorate it, or use the
shape to cut a hole in the keyring to
decorate it.
