Internal Signage 2 UCL SPECIFICATION OF INTERNAL SIGNAGE ___________________________________________________________________ 1.0 Signs to be metal slatted with suitable non-ferrous screw fixings hidden from view, no sharp edges. End stops in UPVC to be included if part of manufacturer’s system. 2.0 Signs including lettering to be polyester powder coated or stove enamelled all sides and edges. Background colour light grey BS 4800/00A01 with catalyst hardened ink (or similar approved) lettering, black finish. All finished matt. 3.0 Lettering font Ariel. Lettering height, arrows, symbols and sign height to comply with DDA recommendations. Typeface to be upper and lower case. 4.0 Where room numbers are required these are to be provided as white lettering on a square grey plate RAL 7031. Height of number plate to be the same as the adjoining name plate. Number plate fitted to LHS of name plate. 5.0 Signage company to be responsible for: 6.0 5.1 Full size dimensional artwork in electronic format for each sign in colour with up to two UCL revisions. Include margins, indents, centering, UCL logo. 5.2 Making arrangements directly with each department for design and fixing. 5.3 Fixing level, true and square at a suitable height to meet DDA recommendations. 5.4 Fixing by suitably skilled personnel all to wear identification badges. 5.5 Clear away debris and fill and make good any decorations directly disturbed. 5.6 Filling, make good, decorations in matching colour to be included when obsolete signs are removed 5.7 Rates to apply to replacement signs, new signs where none exist and new slats to be added to existing directories.
