Happy Women’s History Month
March is the month where all over the United States
Women’s History is observed. In 1981, Senator Orrin
Hatch (R) from Utah and Representative Barbara
Mikulski (D) from Maryland co-sponsored a joint
Congressional resolution proclaiming a National
Women’s History Week and by 1987 Congress expanded
the celebration to a month. Today almost every college
offers women’s history courses and most major
graduate programs offer doctoral degrees in this field.
In light of this wonderful celebration, the SBA is offering
webinars highlighting women business owners and
offering webinars on powerful business tools: How to
Take Your Woman-Owned Small Business Global, 11
Ways to Generate Word-of-Mouth About Your
Business, and How to Take the Lead as the Female CEO.
