UCL Disability Emergency Egress Policy - this document provides the UCL fire safety policy for
people with disabilities, both staff and students, and the considerations and process required
by Departments to ensure that suitable arrangements are in place for those persons with
disabilities in the event of a fire.
Note: Generally, individual arrangements will be bespoke to their requirements.


UCL Disability Planning Emergency Egress Assessment of need and adjustments required - this
assessment should be completed in every case as a process between the Department and
the individual to understand what requirements both physically and in management terms,
the individual disabled person requires. Therefore, suitable arrangements are in place to
assist individuals in the event of a fire. Note: Generally, individual arrangements will be
bespoke to their requirements and forms part of the Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan
(PEEP).

