Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Anne Looney has been the Chief Executive of the National Council for
Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) in Dublin. The Council advises the
Minister for Education and Science on curriculum and assessment for early
childhood education and for primary and post-primary schools.
Prior to joining the NCCA she worked as a teacher in a post-primary school, in
community and adult education and in initial teacher education.
She has published on values and education, on religious education and
school ethos, and on citizenship education.
She is a graduate of the Mater Dei Institute in Dublin, and of the Institute of
Education, London.
