Students’ career aspirations are changing. An increasing number of students from Warwick and across the UK are seeking employment with an SME as they recognise that a career within an
SME typically offers more autonomy and faster career progression.
Warwick Alumni who have worked successfully in smaller organisations have promoted the benefits of working for an SME, and this has led to a surge of interest from students. SMEs too are recognising the labour shift and are quickly moving to snap up the talent, in a surge to boost their competitiveness and productivity.
Warwick Careers Centre recently identified the key drivers which influenced students’ career choices. Interestingly, these drivers can be achieved by students working in an SME.
