WINTER 2014: ♦ BIO 150 in Costa Rica with Biology Professor Craig Stettner (Jan. 2-12) Study tropical ecosystems on site with a specific focus on elements of the tropical rainforests that most interest you. Explore primary and secondary rainforests, tropical seasonal forests and mangrove communities. Living in an isolated biological field stations for five days with veteran Costa Rican naturalist will give you the knowledge and experience to speak with authority on tropical rainforests when you have finished the course. Each student will have a field project of his or her own choosing, which will be approved by an instructor before the trip and developed with the instructor’s assistance, if requested.
