Part 2: Situation-based activity negotiated with the examiner. The task involves a given problem plus a selection of 3 possible
solutions. The student selects one of these and explains why. This is followed by a set of short extension questions (2 minutes for
situation-based activity + 1 minute for extension activity)
Part 1: 2 role plays (1 formal + 1 informal) (3 minutes)
Part 2: Questions based on topics learnt during the year (2 minutes)
Oral examinations take place in term 3 from week 3.
The numbers of minutes are approximate.
Oral examinations are recorded.
In levels 3-4, for the long turn, a separate card is prepared for each topic by the student, in the target language, with max 6 bullets, max 20 words
(or numbers). Topics are published in moodle in the week prior to term 3 week 1.
In levels 5-7, for the long turn, the student can bring visual prompts and a card with max 6 bullets, max 20 words (or numbers). Topics are published
in moodle in term 2 week 8.
