AN ADJECTIVE IS a word that is used to add something to the meaning of the Noun is
known as an Adjective
There are 6 types of adjectives in English
1. Proper Adjectives

Explanation
a- Proper Adjectives are derived from proper nouns
1.Chinese soldiers fought bravely .
2.We are studying the English language.
In ( 1 ) the word " Chinese " is a proper adjective because it is derived from the
proper noun " China,
In ( 2 ) the word " English " is a proper adjective because it is derived from the proper
noun " England."
Note -- Every proper adjective should begin with a capital letter.
In the following sentences the proper adjectives are italicized. The proper nouns
.from which they originate are in parentheses
1.)The Chinese noodles are in the kitchen pantry. (China)
2.)Italian cream cake is extremely rich yet delicious. (Italy)
3.)Japanese robes are called kimonos. (Japan)
4.)African dance is rhythmic as well as symbolic. (Africa)

b -Descriptive Adjectives(qualitative adjective) qualify a noun by adding some
quality
or state to it.
1. A brave soldier killed the enemy. (quality)
b. There are sick soldiers in the hospital. (state)
c- Quantitative Adjectives indicate how much of a thing is meant.
d- He has much rice.
e -He has little rice.
f- He has no rice.
g- He has some rice.
h- He has not any rice.
i- He has enough rice.
j- He has sufficient rice.
k- He sold all the rice.
c- Numeral Adjectives express number.Numeral Adjectives are subdivided into
(a) Cardinals : one, two three, etc.
(b) Ordinals : first ,second, third, etc.
d- Demonstrative Adjectives show which thing is meant.
This house is mine.
That house is yours.
These (those) books are interesting

We use possessive adjectives to show who owns or "possesses" something. The possessive

The order of adjectives
.A noun can have several adjectives describing it.
