Keep grades up
Enrolled in no more than 14 semester hours for Spring 2016 if taking the MCAT
Enrolled in an MCAT Review for Spring 2016 (or be SERIOUSLY studying on your own for the
MCAT, DAT, OAT, etc. NOW)
Read Time , Newsweek , or a similar weekly publication from cover to cover EACH week to
prepare NOW for critical reasoning sections of admission tests AND to begin preparation for
professional school interviews; also complete LOTS of practice tests for MCAT, DAT, etc.

write evals on your behalf
Applied to summer programs for 2016 (or secure alternate med, dent, exp. plans)

Keep grades up
Apply for MCAT, DAT registration fee waivers if applicable
Register to take the MCAT, DAT, etc. (Dates/Locations fill-up QUICKLY!)
Attend Kaplan, Princeton, etc. courses (if preparing for DAT, OAT, etc., use a comprehensive
study book from Kaplan or Princeton in addition to your class notes)
Study at least 10 hours/week outside of review class (put in comparable time if NOT enrolled in a
review course)
Finalize Post-Secondary Experiences Form and Personal Statement, making sure to submit final
revisions to PM Office for critique at xupremed@yahoo.com BEFORE May 1, 2016
Follow-up with evaluators to make sure medical, dental, etc. school letters of evaluation are filed
in the PM Office in a TIMELY fashion
TODAY: Meet with a PM Adviser in March to talk about schools to which you will apply this
summer
Take professional school “head and shoulders” picture to support secondary applications and for
PM display case no later than May 2016
Take MCAT in April/May 2016 (if taking the DAT, OAT, etc., register to take the test between
April-June 2016)
Attend summer enrichment or research program (or engage in alternate summer plans)
Begin ACTIVELY working on/critiquing application in MAY 2016 and submit sufficiently
critiqued/revised no later than July 2016 (do NOT submit application BEFORE getting MCAT,
DAT, etc. score)
