Cytoskeletal Patterns and Architectures Workshop 12 – 14 May 2008 http://go.warwick.ac.uk/cytoskeleton2008 Registration deadline: 11 April Location: Mathematics Research Centre, Zeeman Building University of Warwick, Coventry CV4 7AL, United Kingdom Contact: mrc@maths.warwick.ac.uk Confirmed Speakers: The workshop will focus on the variety of cytoskeleton structures that are exhibited in cells, and how they are regulated. This includes aspects of self-organization of the actin and microtubule system, and the cytoskeletal processes underpinning cell motility, enodocytosis and cell division. Understanding how complex functions such as cell movement and cell division are achieved through orchestration of the same basic components, in particular actin and microtubules, remains a key challenge. This interdisciplinary workshop will examine the breadth of cytoskeletal dynamics and structures at both the experimental and modelling perspectives.
