McNair Scholars Application Checklist Items listed on this checklist MUST be submitted with your completed McNair Scholar application. Xavier's Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Program (McNair Scholars Program) prepares undergraduate college students who are first generation and low income or minority students for doctoral studies. I HAVE TO: PROVIDE A COMPLETED APPLICATION CHECKLIST PROVIDE A COMPLETED APPLICATION INFORMATION SHEET I understand that my application will only be accepted upon my submission of a completed application, excluding the letter of recommendation by a faculty member. PROVIDE A RESUME OR CV The application must include a curriculum vitae or resume which details your research and work experiences. PROVIDE PERMISSION TO ACCESS TRANSCRIPTS I give permission for the Office of Graduate Placement to have access my transcript for candidacy selection purposes. COMPLETE A MOCK INTERVIEW If selected, I understand that I must complete a mock interview with the Office of Career Services prior to my official McNair interview for consideration as a McNair Scholar. PROVIDE A LISTING OF ADDITIONAL ORGANIZATIONS You must provide a listing of programs that you are a current member of or have recently applied to, including, but not limited to: MARC, HBCU-UP, BUILD and/or RISE, and any funding received from each organization. PROVIDE PROOF OF INCOME INFORMATION If you are applying under the 1st generation and low income objective, you will need to provide a copy of the most current year’s tax return and proof of income. PROVIDE A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION You must submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member from Xavier University.
