Xavier University Retreat is designed for all Xavier students, Catholics and non-Catholics
to share their faith journey with peers. It is to help students to get in touch and to
experience God in a deeper way and to know His purpose for our lives.

Why should I go? You should go on the Campus Ministry Fall Retreat if you want to
meet new people, take a break from routine class schedule to pray, reflect, share and
have fun with other students, to grow in your relationship with God and academic life

It is almost time for the Campus Ministry Retreat. We are glad that you have chosen to be a part of this wonderful experience.
We are counting the days and are busy taking care of the final preparations.
We will depart in front of the Administration Building on campus at 5:00pm, March 20, 2015.
We advise you to assemble between 4:30pm -4:45pm. Transportation will be provided. Therefore, you do not need to bring
your own car. Please be prompt so that we can get to the Retreat Center early in the evening. Make sure you eat before we
leave.
Be sure to inform a retreat advisor about any medications you are taking as well as the reason you are taking the medication.
We will be staying at the William J. Kelley Retreat Center, Bay St. Louis, MS. The telephone number at the center is
(228)467-2032. Please leave this number with your Residence Hall Director and/or your next of kin if you live off campus. We
expect to return to campus on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 11:00am. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend Mass @
12:30pm. At the mass, you may share your reflection on the retreat experience.
Because this is a spiritual retreat, you should be aware that this is our primary focus. We encourage you to come to grow closer
to the Lord and acknowledge the Lord in each other. This retreat will give us an opportunity to spend time in prayer, to share
experiences and to discuss challenging issues that affect our lives. Therefore, your cooperation is needed to make this retreat
an enjoyable one. The cost of the retreat is $20.00, which is non-refundable. Below is a list of rules and expectations with which
we are asking you to comply.
A CHRISTIAN ATTITUDE IS ENCOURAGED AT ALL TIMES
ALL UNIVERSITY POLICIES WILL APPLY ON THIS RETREAT
EVERYONE IS EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL ACTIVITIES
NO CD PLAYERS OR RADIO’S- ALL MUSIC WILL BE PROVIDED
NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES SUCH AS IPODS, IPADS,CLOTHING IRONS, FLAT OR CURLING IRONS, LAP TOPS, ETC.
NO WATCHES OR JEWELRY (EXPENSIVE)
SLEEPING QUARTERS ARE OFF LIMITS EXCEPT FOR REST; NO FOOD OR FELLOWSHIP THERE
LIGHTS-OUT AT 12:30 A.M. (MEANING EVERYONE GOES TO BED)
STUDENTS WILL CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES
ANYONE DISRESPECTING THE RULES WILL BE ASKED TO MEET WITH THE RETREAT ADVISORS AND MAY BE SENT BACK HOME.
