NAFEO Internship Program
Since its inception in 1997, The National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education (NAFEO) National Internship Program (NIP) has placed a variety of graduate and undergraduate students from across the nation in internships with federal agencies within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and nationwide. The NAFEO NIP is committed to placing students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and PBIs (Predominately
Black Institutions) in internships, which provide lifelong learning experiences that enhance
personal and professional development. Through the NAFEO National Internship Program, the
interns and federal partners share in a mutually beneficial experience that often leads to hiring
NAFEO INTENSHIP PROGRAM
The continuing goal of the NAFEO NIP is to increase the diversity pool in federal careers
and offer a work experience for college students to help direct and confirm their existing
academic interests.
In partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Office of Diversity and Inclusion,
NAFEO encourages the NAFEO nation of students to apply for the upcoming 2014 Summer Term (10 weeks) internship opportunities nationwide. Consideration to those that
live, go to school near, or are interested in moving close by to the following locations:
