A walk-in interview will be held for
Fellow (SRF) for the ICAR I th Plan Scheme on
Incentivizing Research in Agriculture on "Towards understanding the C3-C4 intermediate
pathway in poaceae and functionality C4 genes in rice".
1) Two temporary post of senior Research
2) One temporary post and Young Professional and one post of Research Associate for the ICAR
12th Plan CABin Project on "Exploring
Gene Regulatory Networks involved in Heat Stress
Responses of Sources and Sink for Development of Climate Smart Wheat".
Candidates interested in research with the qualifications given in the following temporary
position may report for interview at 10:00 A.M. on 03-10-2015 (Saturday) in Committee Room,

Desirable qualifications: Experience in field phenotyping

Northern Blotting, Transcriptome analysis, Molecular
analysis of Trans genies.

Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation of rice, and

PCR, qPCR, gene cloning etc.
Job duties: To phenotype contrasting wheat genotypes for
heat tolerance at physiological, biochemical, and molecular
levels, gene expression analysis, bacterial expression of
proteins and their assay, and other research works assigned
by the Pl.
•
Age limit: Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women (Age relaxation
per Govt. oflndiaiTCAR rules) for SRF posts.
•
Candidate should report by 10.00 AM on 03-10-2015
original certificates).

Biodata should contain Academic qualifications
starting from loth Standard to the maximum
qualification with % marks obtained and division (attested copies of 10th, 12th, Under-graduation,
post-graduation and NET should be submitted with the bio data). It should also contain the details of
experience and an abstract of research work carried out by the candidate. One recent passport size
photograph, and five copies of their Bio-data should be submitted at the time of interview.
•
Candidate should bring project work report/thesis, testimonials/experience
research papers, etc. to support their claim on experience.
•
The above post is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis for an initial period of one
year or project duration whichever is earlier, which may be extended on yearly basis after
