What can I do with a degree in…..
International Business
Studying International Business at Warwick will appeal to you if you are considering a career in any area of
management or business and want to develop your language skills in a business context. The international
perspective you will gain can help gear you up for a career in global industries and organisations.
This four-year course will teach you the core disciplines of accounting, finance, organisational management
and marketing alongside insights into the global environment for business. International Business provides
tuition in French, German, Italian, or Spanish, to develop advanced language capabilities. You will spend
your third year studying or working abroad in that language. Study placements take place at one of our
partner institutions in Europe, Canada or Latin America.
Your degree will help you to build commercial awareness and develop skills such as problem solving, critical
thinking and decision making. The degree will also help you to develop a variety of highly transferable skills
valued by employers such as organisational and planning skills, report writing, working to deadlines, team
work and presentation skills.

What do Warwick students say...?
“I will be studying abroad next year at two of Europe’s top business schools: IE and ESADE. This is definitely
my favourite aspect of my course as it will give me the opportunity to grow both personally and
professionally. Studying abroad will open my mind to other business perspectives and equip me with a better
sense of global awareness. Being able to study a supplementary language is also very important because I
believe it will give me the competitive edge to find a job when I leave university.
The course, especially in the first year, seeks to provide you with an all-round knowledge of different business
areas including accounting, finance, marketing, strategy, understanding organisational behaviour and
management principles, operations or business planning. I believe this is a necessary step in becoming a wellrounded businessperson.”
