Benefits under Council Service : a. These posts carry usual allowances i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc. as admissible to the central government employees and as made applicable to CSIR. Council employees are also eligible for accommodation of their entitled type as per CSIR allotment rules depending on availability in which case HRA will not be admissible. 2 2. b. In addition to the emoluments indicated against each category of posts, benefits such as reimbursement of Medical Expenses, Leave Travel Concession, Conveyance advance and House Building Advance are available as per rules of CSIR. General Conditions / Information : a. The appointment is under Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) which is an Autonomous Body. b. The applicant must be a Citizen of India. c. All the positions are exclusively reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) fulfilling the eligibility conditions prescribed under GoI instructions. DEGREE OF DISABILITY FOR RESERVATION : Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in services/posts who suffer from not less than 40 percent of relevant disability. A person who wants to avail the benefit of reservation would have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a Competent Authority in the prescribed format. d. SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates are required to produce the ORIGINAL certificate in the prescribed format signed by the specified Authority at the time of interview for verification. The OBC candidate should produce the prescribed updated certificate valid for appointment of posts under the Central Government. e. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and/or experience shall be the closing date prescribed for receipt of Application completed in all respects i.e. 31st August, 2015. f. The period of experience shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum qualification prescribed for the Post. g. He/She will be governed by the “New Pension Scheme” based on defined contributions for new entrants recruited in Central Government Services on or after 1-1-2004, as adopted by CSIR for its employees. However, persons selected from other Government Departments/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings/Central Universities having Pension Scheme on GoI pattern will continue to be governed by existing Pension Scheme, i.e. CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972. h. Age relaxation of 5 years will be permissible to those who had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989 subject to production of relevant certificate from concerned authority. i. Candidates belonging to Ex-Servicemen will be eligible for relaxation of upper age limit as per Government of India Orders applicable to them. j. Relaxation in age limit up to 5 years may be allowed to regular CSIR/Council/ Government/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector employees in accordance with the instructions and orders issued by the Government of India from time to time in this regard . No upper age limit for departmental candidates (CSIR employees) for the posts under Post Code – AGOU and JSOU. m. Mode of selection The prescribed Essential Qualifications are a bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Where number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement and/or performance in the written test.
