Research Interests
Substantive research interests include the effects of health insurance on health, quality of medical care in the
U.S., the effects of managed care on health care utilization, physician behavior as it relates to guideline
adherence, medication compliance in the U.S., racial disparities in health and the fields of breast, colorectal,
and prostate cancer screening and detection. Methodological interests include regression discontinuity, causal
inference from observational data, program evaluation and analysis of observational data.
