PRIVACY POLICY
DATA PROTECTION STATEMENT FOR THE LMI LEARNING MODULE:
This Data Protection statement refers to the data held on the LMI Learning Module website
(www.warwick.ac.uk/go/ngrf/lmimodule) on behalf of the Institute for Employment Research, at the
University of Warwick. If you have a query regarding the data we hold please contact
guidance.research@warwick.ac.uk.
Your data is securely held by the Institute for Employment Research and will be treated confidentially
and appropriately in facilitating your purchases through the site and access to the resulting Digital
Content.
The data is for the use of the Institute for Employment Research to arrange access to the Digital
Content (as defined in the terms and conditions of sale on www.warwick.ac.uk/go/ngrf/lmimodule) on
the LMI Learning Module website; arrange the processing of payment for licences to the Digital
Content; inform you about similar products or services that we provide. The data will only be disclosed
to external organisations to allow the data to be used for the purposes detailed above.
Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 you have the right to object to the use of your data
for any of the above purposes and in this regard you should contact
guidance.research@warwick.ac.uk.
Data held on behalf of the University of Warwick is also subject to the central University Data
Protection Policy.
HOW WE USE COOKIES
The LMI Learning Module website, which is operated on behalf of the Institute for Employment
Research, at the University of Warwick, uses Google Analytics and Sitebuilder statistics to help analyse
how users use the site. This tool uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to
collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour in an anonymous form. This
information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is
transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitors’ use of the website and to
compile statistical reports on website activity for use by the Institute for Employment Research, at the
University of Warwick.
We may track your access and collect personally identifiable information following your login to the
landing page (http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/ier/ngrf/lmilearning) of our restricted content. This
is for the purpose of administering refunds only. We will not (and will not allow any third party) to use
the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of visitors to
all other pages of our site. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally
identifying information from any source as part of our use of the Google statistical analysis tool.
Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither the Institute for
Employment Research nor Google will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a
computer user.
Disabling and enabling cookies
The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) is an industry body that develops standards and guidelines to
support online business processes. It has produced a series of web pages which explain how cookies

As referred to above, you have the ability to accept or decline cookies by modifying the settings on
your browser.

Online Payment Form
The information which is gathered on our online payment form is used for the purpose of
administering your order and will only be used for this purpose. Cookies must be activated in your web
browser if you wish to complete our payment form online however this will only relate to the
processing of your order.
PAYMENT PROCESSING
You can purchase goods and services on the website by making payments online or through requesting
an invoice in the case of multi-user licenses via the request an invoice page. For online transactions we
use a third party supplier to process online payments, which are transacted on a secure server using
SSL (secure sockets layer). The company we use is WorldPay, one of the world’s largest and most
highly renowned e-commerce transaction and payment companies.
When you purchase goods or services online from us, you are transferred to WorldPay’s secure server
environment where the complete transaction is processed. You will be informed that you are entering
a secure environment (which is demonstrated by a padlock symbol) and the URL will contain https://.
If we process an online credit card transaction on your behalf, the personal credit or debit card
information you provide us with is only used for the purpose of processing that transaction, and is not
stored on our system.
At no time during the online payment process are we provided with your personal credit or debit card
information, which is processed and encrypted completely by WorldPay. The LMI Learning Module
website does not store sensitive financial information on customer purchases, nor is it at any time
made available to us.
