The role of ambient lighting continues to evolve with the new ConTech RA2LRM
recessed downlight series. A powerful LED lumen package in a highly desirable
mini-housing offers incredible space design freedom. With its diminutive size, small
aperture and over 1200 delivered lumens, the RA2LRM is the perfect solution for
countless environments.
Designed as a remodel housing, the unit can be installed after the ceiling is in
place, making for very accurate positioning. The optional NCF1 mounting frame
can be used to allow the fixture to be installed as a traditional recessed downlight.
Downlight reflector trims are available in several attractive finishes, including clear
Alzak®, and provide 55° of cutoff for visual comfort. Each trim will also accommodate
a single media. As an added benefit, these downlight reflector trims are wet location
rated when used with an LF16 60MM lens.
Two lumen packages/wattages available:
The 900 lumen, 11W downlight is designed for use in insulated ceilings (IC).
The 1200 lumen, 16W downlight is designed for use in non-insulated ceilings
(non-IC).

Both downlights are Stopaire (SA) rated and can be used in applications where
air-tight housings are required.

Housing utilizes a die-cast aluminum collar/heat sink design with driver compartment
and junction box made from heavy gauge steel. Housing is painted a matte black
finish. Two steel friction springs provide secure support in ceiling thicknesses from
1/2" - 1".
Precision TIR Optics produce Spot (12°), Medium (27°), and Flood (40°) beam
distributions. Excellent fixture-to-fixture color consistency with a 2-step MacAdam
Ellipse tolerance. System designed and rated for 50,000 hours at 70% lumen
maintenance. Energy Srar listed, suitable for damp locations. Assembled in the USA.
